The third meet of the AUS cross country season saw the UNB Varsity Reds travel to Quebec City to race in the RESQ AUS Interlock hosted by the University of Laval. The race took place on the Planes of Abraham, which is known to be one of the tougher courses in the CIS.
A total of twelve teams and 107 athletes took part in the event, which was extremely competitive. The V-Reds finished in 10th place overall with a total of 278pts. The top 3 teams were host Laval in 38 points, McGill in 50pts, and Dalhousie in 107pts.
Individually the V-Reds top finisher was Katie Robinson who finished in 21st place overall in a time of 23:55, ranking her 6th out of AUS athletes.

"This was a very strong field on a very tough course. The team battled hard and ran well. We have one more race and four more weeks to prepare for the AUS championships," said coach Jason Reindl.

Next up for the Reds will be the UdeM Invitational being held by the Univesite de Moncton on Saturday October 17th and the AUS Championships in Fredericton hosted by Saint Thomas on October 31st.
