Athletics New Brunswick is pleased to announce that Jason Reindl has been selected as head coach for Team New Brunswick at the 2017 Canada Games, to be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba from July 28th - August 13th. This edition of the games is set to be a landmark event as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Canada Games, and the 150th anniversary of Confederation.
Jason holds as a wealth of knowledge as the High Performance Coach for Athletics New Brunswick, a coach at Saint John Track Club, and Head Coach for the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds. Since being named head coach at UNB, the team has made incredible strides under Jason's leadership increasing its standing in the AUS both in points and medals, and qualifying athletes to the CIS Track and Field Championships.
Jason holds first hand experience as a former athlete as well, setting provincial records, winning several Legion and junior medals, and representing Saskatchewan at the 2005 Canada Games.
Jason brings an incredible passion for our sport’’ said Gabriel LeBlanc, technical director for Athletics New Brunswick. ‘’ We are coming off our best ever Canada games in 2013 and we are sure with Jason leadership our 2017 has potential to do even better, added LeBlanc.
