Varsity Reds split on the road against Acadia

The UNB Varsity Reds split on the road against Acadia with scores of 57-49 and 56-62 to bring their record to 3-3 in the AUS standings.

In Friday's tilt the Varsity Reds were down for three quarters of the game; 10-13 in the first quarter 26-30 at the half and 40-42 after the third.

In the fourth quarter UNB scored a huge 17 points while holding the Axewomen to seven to finish the game 57-49.

Awo Farah and Tilly Ettinger were the high point getters each with 10 while Rachel Cleary contributed nine.  Rachel Cleary and Katelyn Mangold each pulled down seven rebounds while Farah and Hannah Currie each had six.

In the second game of the weekend the tables were turned as Acadia defeated UNB 62-56.   High point getters were Mangold with 13 while Cleary and Coleen Daley each contributed nine.  Farah had 10 rebounds and Cleary had nine.

The Varsity Reds return to home court next weekend for their final game of the term as they take on the Saint Mary's Huskies at 6:00 pm on Saturday night, November 30th. The men's team will follow at 8:00 pm.
