Shanks And Colford Pace VReds At AUS Championships

(ANTIGONISH, NS) The hometown St. FX X-Men and the Dalhousie Tigers raced to first place at the Subway AUS Cross Country Championships.

On the St. FX campus course, in the men's 10k race, the X-Men took five of the top six spots, with Calvin DeWolfe(Bridgewater, NS) capturing first place, in a time of 32:22.

Joshua Shanks(Lepreau, NB) was the top Varsity Red. He finished 18th, just ahead of teammate Michael Colford(Fredericton, NB).

In the women's 6k race, Dal's Colleen Wilson(Ancaster, ON) won, in 21:29, ahead of Sarah Myatt(Fredericton, NB),  (22:37) to lead the Tigers to the team title.

Cailie McGuire(Mississauga, ON) was the first UNB runner across the line, 19th overall.

Rachel Bennett(Athens, ON) ran 29th.
