(WOLFVILLE, NS) The UNB Varsity Reds saw some solid results in the first meet of the Atlantic University Sport season.
On the final day of competition at the Jack Scholz Invitational, at Acadia University, UNB's Justin LeBlanc raced to victory in the men's 100-metre breaststroke.
LeBlanc edged Dal's Tony Liew by two-tenths of a second.
Also on the men's side, Eric Meng took second in the men's 200-metre free, while the Varsity Reds were second in the men's 200-metre freestyle relay.
Andrea Greene led the women.
She took second in the 50-metre backstroke.
Kelsey Taylor was third in the 100-metre butterfly, and fourth in the 200-metre freestyle, finishing just ahead of teammate Nadia Kashetsky.
Emma Berton swam to a third place finish in the women's 200-metre individual medley, and Lauren Adam ran fourth in the 100-metre breaststroke.
On Saturday, LeBlanc and Noah Horwood finished first and second in the men's 50-metre backstroke.
Michael Walz was second in the 200-metre butterfly.
Lauren Adam was third in the women's 50-metre backstroke.
The Varsity Reds play host to the next meet on the AUS schedule.
UNB hosts the Amby Legere Invitational, at the Sir Max Aitken Pool, October 29th and 30th.
