V-Reds land premier guard prospect for 2014-15

The University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds men's basketball program is pleased to announce that Jesse Kendall of Guelph, Ontario, will be joining the squad for the upcoming 2014-2015 season.

As a 6'2" guard at Bishop Macdonell Catholic Secondary School, Jesse collected four D10 league all-star nominations, four D10 league championships and two D10 league MVP's (including the 2013-2014 season) during his high school career.

In 2013 he played AAU basketball with UNB standout freshmen Javon Masters as a member of the Ontario provincial championship bronze medal team; the Waterloo Wildhawks. This year he is a member of the Waterloo Wolverines and currently trains with Kyle Julius and A-Game Hoops.

Coach Baker is definitely excited that Jesse will be joining the Varsity Reds. "Jesse is an honour roll student and a terrific scorer. His demonstrated chemistry with Javon will allow both players to excel at their respective positions. His commitments to his academics, coupled with his off court training are attributes we seek in our recruits as we build our championship culture. Jesse is a key addition to our program moving forward. "
